Home…

our happy place.  Traditions, warmth and welcome.

Home is a feeling. It radiates fond memories of countless holidays, birthdays, milestone celebrations and after school projects.  It’s also simply seeing the beauty in the everyday.  It’s where your stories are written, the place where you belong.

Each season brings with it celebrations, holidays, weather – all playing a vital role as to how we live and play.  So many can relate to the feeling of cold weather coming upon us in Autumn.  Long cooked winter meals, football and a crackling hearth.  Shortened days, the rustle of leaves, the scent of candles burning inside a jack-o-lantern.  The sounds, smells and tastes that all come together to create a feeling.  This is your home, your good life.

I would like to share with you my ways to make each day a celebration, make the ordinary extraordinary, and how to be organized and efficient and enjoy living for the moment.

I extend my invitation to you to come inside and experience home…Welcome!

Month to Month Inspiration

June 2019

I’ve often said that June can be a month of new beginnings and bittersweet endings. For me personally, I once again have a high school graduate, causing me to reflect on the fleetingness of life. Wondering what lies ahead for my child, and hoping for success and happy experiences as she leaves one life behind and ventures into young adulthood – new beginning, bittersweet ending. It seems at times that life moves along in a daily hum of mundane activities, then suddenly we stop to realize, “wow, how’d I get here?” Happens so suddenly. I am recovering from my ski accident. It seemed life came to a grinding halt and those initial months were very long days. But now I am here, just starting to walk again and grateful for that, especially because June is here. I will try not to be wistful, but instead live in the moment and carry on. Welcome Summer!

Toms

Can you believe these are TOMS?! I love a wedge and these look super comfortable. I’ve partnered with TOMS because of their great “give back” philosophy and quality products as well. Check out the link on the side bar.

Yay, New to the Blog!

I’m excited to announce that I am partnering with a few of my favorite stores. I will be providing links and all the information needed-as soon as I figure it all out!  Regardless, you will be able to shop directly from my site for products or just navigating to their shop to browse on your own.  Here is a sneak peek at one of my affiliates – Ann Taylor!

Lettuceware

Is anything more “summery” than lettuceware? I was excited to see that @ToryBurch has re-issued this dishware.  Look under Décor to see my own collection.  I also feature some pieces in The Hive Shop!

Grove Collaborative

I recently tried out this company, Grove Collaborative.  I am a big believer in trying out new things, so when I saw they were offering a promotion I thought it would be worth looking into and I can’t say enough how pleased I am.  This is an eco-friendly based company so they offer environmentally safe and sustainable products, such as reusable spray bottles, containers and concentrated solutions all for the home.  Below is a picture of what they sent as an intro to their company and products.  I definitely recommend.

Fun Finds!

I think I feel a new vibe coming on! Found all these super cute items in the $1. section of @target. My favorite is the mini yard flamingo. I’ve used regular sized yard flamingos in floral arrangements before (see post), but I can definitely see this one in a cute summer arrangement on the porch! And how about the fun coasters?! I’m ready for a party, how about you? Mai Tai anyone?

I love both of these bags!  However, if your budget won’t allow the designer on the left, the equally cute version on the right fits the bill!  Look for more adorable bucket bags in my Style section!
