Autumn Wreath

I am one who is partial to layers and excess when it comes to fall decorating.  I say pile on those pumpkins and gourds, fill with lots of colorful dried leaves, raffia, acorns, etc.  This wreath is made entirely of silk and dried leaves, berries and fillers and faux mini pumpkins and gourds.  Why put this outside on the front door – hang above a fireplace and fill the mantel as well for a spectacular fall display.

Another Fall Tablescape

Here is another idea for some great fall impact in your décor.  The wooden box container and the abundance of pinecones allow for the easy transition into the holidays as well.  I love the pops of color with the berries.  Try this one down the length of your kitchen or dining room table.

Christmas through the house

Christmas is a time for decorating with wild abandon!  With craft stores carrying so many relatively inexpensive items it is easy to get cought in a decorating frenzy.  I love bows and I feel that they can give anything that extra touch.  As the calendar gets closer and closer to Christmas, many stores begin marking down their items, this is when I load up on spools of ribbon for the next year.  You can never have too much.  Try tying a large bow on the base of a cake stand or dangling from an overhead light fixture with many curly strands hanging down – festive!
